After buying in Dinard's “Petit Casino”
in 1985 to transform it into the “2 Alizés”,
its director, Claude Lagrée, waits a few years before taking
his next step.
In 1998, this passionate movie fan turns his eyes to Dinan theatre.
The deal ends with the building of a complex of new theatre halls
named, with a smell of escapism, “Vers le Large” ("Out
to sea").
The theatre today offers 5 halls:
> Hall 1: 258 seats, numerical sound, screen of almost 40 feet
> Hall 2: 250 seats, numerical sound, screen of almost 46 feet
> Hall 3: 143 seats, numerical sound, screen of almost 33 feet
> Hall 4: 87 seats, numerical sound, screen of 26 feet
> Hall 5: 73 seats, numerical sound, screen of 26 feet
The place is entirely equipped for handicapped persons; the halls
are equipped for deaf persons; huge hall.
Reception hall by the theatre.
The place is scheduled as "Art et essai" and young audience.
